• auto check for update broken?

just wondering I have version 16.0.0.75 I have studio check for updates automatically and even when I do a manual check, it says ''no newer versions available at this time'' Yet vesion 16.0.0.1 has been out since Sept 2012 apparently. Is it not too stable and they are not advising it, or is it just a program error.

  • Re: 2D to 3D

there are some 3d players that will convert 2d to 3d, as will powerdvd 11/12. I would'nt advise it though. The results are usually quite horrible and sore on the eyes after about 5 minutes. It's probably these methods that put people off 3d.

  • Re: 3D - eyes reversed

on further investigation... what format are you saving? if your saving side by side or multi stream, is'nt there a swap button on the player you are using. I notice if you save the file anaglyphly there is an option to save cross eyed in pinnacle studio and the photos in the film come out fine

  • Re: 3D - eyes reversed

does'nt look good for the w3. I also could find no way within studio to reverse the photos. ever thought perhaps the w3 photos are reversed? I remeber whenever I loaded vids to youtube I had to put a reverse tag in. do you use stereophoto maker to edit you mpo's? you can easily do a multi conversion to swap left right and it will resave them as ...

  • do I need to render the movie before I burn it?

I just burned my 1st movie with studio 16. The render bar was still gold and slowly turning green, so I burned the movie anyway. Does that have any effect on trhe quality of my burned movie?

  • rendering time

just wondering if this is supposed to happen. I put all my clips in my timeline, the gold bar was above the timeline, slowely travelling along, turning green, then eventually dissapearing. I let this complete till the bar was gone (took over an hour) I saved my movie then closed down studio. Next time I went back it was rendering half the ...

  • if I buy the upgrade version

if I buy the upgrade version of 16, how does that work? I no longer have studio 12 or 14 on my system (new system) If I buy the upgrade version from Avid video (I guess, whenever I go to purchase from the studio site I get sent there) Do I have to re-install 12 or 14 (which I would rather not) or will I just have to insert my original disk for ...
