• Re: Video & photo editing monitor recommendations

Tony P:Or.... get a monitor arm and mount the monitor on that. I have very little desk space. M-Audio BX5 Carbons with M-Audio SuperDac and 24'' Acer monitor. That's all I can fit on the desk. My 22'' is sitting on top of one of the speakers. So, when I go 4K and bigger, I'll get a monitor arm for the 24'' to be over the 4K monitor. As ...

saby:You're playing the Russian roulette, you know. I'll take your advice. Thanks. The crazy part is someone thought ''Hey let's bake the circuit board.'' And it worked.

saby: paul37:Anyone know if there's any reason I couldn't attempt the same repair on the monitors power board? Maybe because capacitors on the circuit board might suffer of such a high temperature ! Yann, The aforementioned Hands free card in my car died again last Friday. I pulled it out and baked it again and it's back in service ...

Hi Tony, I couldn't believe it either but it works. A few months back I bought a Samsung 4K monitor but the stand was sub par and while hunting a replacement I realized my all purposes PC would be a pain in the neck trying to get program and browser windows adjusted and zoomed to readable sizes etc. I never even took the foam ...

  • Video & photo editing monitor recommendations

I'm looking for help choosing a monitor to replace a Samsung 245BW that suddenly only awakens by pulling and reseating the power cable. I've always used it in 1920X1200 resolution but there are very few options at that resolution. I'm looking for a height adjustable stand to clear elevated ''wing'' shelves on either side of the monitor ...

  • Re: Re:Motion tracking woes

You know it. Standard modus operandi here. It really got tricky when I was waving the steering column in front of it. Even with two trackers. If not for the object being obscured then not the ''car'' colored blank title blocker method would have worked. Of course 30 minutes time to setup and shoot the segment again minus the car was too ...

  • Motion tracking woes

Studio's motion tracking leaves a lot to be desired. I spent a considerable amount of time adjusting trackers to focus on the license plate. It was blurred the way I wanted but then the mask turned black and is unstable. See link below. The latest version of a competing editor has a vastly superior motion tracker if anybody needs the ...

saby: paul37:Check out the tutorials by a bloke named Gripps on YouTube to get yourself up and running. Watch the first 10 seconds of his Scatter Effect tutorial before you do anything else to get an idea of the plugins capabilities. May I suggest you read this set of tutos ? I apologize. Clearly remiss on my part as that's where I found ...

It's not a trial per se. I talked to someone at BorisFX and they suggested I use the version 6 all hosts download for Studio. It's fully functional. I do also have Corel VideoStudio Pro X8 which comes with Boris 7 as a plugin maybe that's why. I agree the menu text is the worst.
