I agree. Retain the orginal setting and use the 2d editor. The settings on the clip just force an aspect ratio, and this is not always giving the best result.

I agree. The standalone DVD players are much pickier in what they accept. Progressive would not be the way to go. And some audio codecs can also give problems.
5.1 should only be used if you actually have surround on your timeline. Otherwise it would be useless.

The box did work on the same system before you reinstalled Windows, right ? Did you change anything else in the setup ? Did you install your chipset (motherboard) drivers ? This is really important to get the box proparly installed.

I think that your player has problems with a variable GOP size. Liquid supports a variable GOP size which allows a native editing of HDV MPEG-2 files in the timeline. There is a different in approach when fusing or exporting.
When you export, Liquid will always reconstructure a file from scratch. Which means it will calculate and checks every single frame.
When you fuse, liquid copies groups of frames together. It will only calculate the parts that are missing (for example if you have an effect ...

Thomas is right. The old user need to contact us from the e-mail he used for registration (or at least it should be clear that the registered customer and the person contacting us are the same person). Then we will unregister the old user, and you should be able to register the same serial again.

There is limited XDCAM HD support on Liquid 7.2 with the use of xreceive. XDCAM EX is not supported. You might use the clipbrowser software from Sony to rewrap them.
