I have tried to output a file as a high quality PAL WMV file, but when I try to do so, Liquid tells me that ''the requested video codec is not installed on this system''.
I can do a medium quality one, but I would prefer the best quality. Is the codec readily available?
I am making this file for a client to include as a clip in a PowerPoint ...

Hi Lew,
I reckon if it wasn't addressed at that point then it is unlikely to be sorted now until the next release - if we are lucky. And if we ever get a next release - any news there?.
I came to Liquid from Fast Video Machine (R.I.P). It is about 2 years since the last update. I hope that Liquid is not going to be left to die ...

In previous versions of Liquid I used to work with the timeline picons automatically updating whenever a clip length was changed, but with Liquid 7 I soon found that changing the length of a clip becomes very jerky when this option is on. Switch it off and the movement becomes as smooth as silk. Because of this with version 7 I have had to work ...

Thanks Lew, installing the 7.2.1 patch seems to have done the trick.
I deliberately waited a for a few days before posting this time just to make sure that the problem was solved and not just a temporary fix.
For the benefit of anybody else who should have this problem I have documented the events below.
It started ...

Searching through the Forum I found this thread http://forums.pinnaclesys.com/forums/thread/255939.aspx which is exactly what I am experiencing in every detail. Mine is a completely new install of XP and Liquid. There is no other editing package installed, just Liquid 7.2 and as it is a clean XP install, very little else on the computer.
I ...

I spoke too soon. It won't start again - same problem
I shut the computer down when I went out for a while and when I came back again and fired up, the program won't start again.
Does anybody have any idea what is happening? I can't even get into the program to change any settings, it just crashes out about 10 seconds into booting up.

I realised that I had not installed the program for the BOB. Once I had done this Liquid started and ran normally. Hopefully it will now stay that way.
It is strange that it should prevent Liquid from starting up though. In the previous installation it ran OK without the BOB installation. It was only when I realised that the BOB wasn't working ...

I have just re-installed 7.2. At first Liquid started up and worked fine and I thought that everything was working well
until I shut the program down. On re-starting the program shows the
Avid Liquid start screen then withing a few seconds the program ends abruptly and goes back into Windows desktop. The ''report error'' screen
then comes up ...

I managed to sort out the installation problem by installing 7.0 then the 7.2 upgrade and Liquid started up and worked fine. Also the Title Decko registration was trouble free this time. Other problems have arisen which I have put on another post.

Due to a drive C: failure, I am re-installing XP and Liquid to a new drive. Fortunately all the projects and current work were on a different drive, so I am hopefull that when I eventually get going it won't be too difficult to pick up where I left off.
I have a file ''Avid_Liquid_7.2_Full_Upgrade.zip'' which I downloaded in July 2007. Is this ...
