You are not wrong! It is ugly and slow. But I can go and have a cup of coffee (or 2 or 3 or 4) while it renders. I am using a greeny blue clip with ''hard light'' blending, and it should give the whole clip a washed out music-video look.

For instance, there are different blend modes in keying editor and the filter editor. (eg luminance), but I seem to remember seeing more in another editor or plug in somewhere once.

You can drag and drop the VOB (ie files on a dvd) files straight into your timeline and edit them with most dvds, but only if the dvd is non-copyright.

Oh dear! What have I started with my original post?
I actuallly was saying that Liquid is great, it working and doing its job fast and without problems or fuss, but for me the brand has lost its wow factor, the pizzaz, the zing.
I now have Windows 7 and it is great, but sooner or later I'm going to need to upgrade the cameras, the computers, ...

Smetvid:Capturing to a AVI or mpeg2 format is not the best choice for a Final Cut Pro editor. FCP usually prefers mov qucktime wrapped files. Capturing video on a PC to use on a Mac with FCP is only going to give you problems. Your editors may end up spending more time converting the material to a format they can use then if you ...
