I would agree that Media Composer's DV and even more so, HDV capture was problematic at times. Once transcoded to DNxHD, however, MC was amazingly stable. Best export was accomplished using a QT reference file.

I was wondering whether my login still worked...so it does. Edius has been the compelling path for many that do not need MC's asset management strengths. Nice to see some new wrinkles added to ole' Studio.

Good info...I have a number of fuses on old hardrives that might need to be reopended at some date. Having a semi operational Liquid available is nice.

Many have used the analogue pass-thru on DV camcorders to digitize the signal. Most DV camcorders can do this...

Yes, haven't run Liquid in some time, Relying now on MC6 and Sony Vegas Pro12..

It is true that you can use an NVidia GTX card for MC, it is is also true that you will get a ROS from forum members saying that you can't. I am running MC 6 with an AMD processor, it works with complete stability. Edius is an excellent NLE, either way, it is time to move on from Liquid.
