Fortsand:
I did a screen capture of an old radio recording from years ago. I imported the file into Pinnacle 24. I am unable to move it to the timeline. I assumed that since I captured it any embedded security coding to prevent copying would be bypassed. Is there any way I can get this to my timeline? ...

Could be the wrong pixel aspect ratio. It should be rectangular PAR but it's using square PAR.

What version of Quicktime do you have? I'm still on W7 but I have version 7.7.6 that I installed 5 years ago and don't have issues with mov files I use in other apps. I haven't used it recently in Studio, (I have 21), but don't recall any issues.

I think Imgburn has the ability to erase a BD-RE disc. Might be worth a shot. What little reading I've done on the topic leads me to believe it does a complete format of the disc rather than just erasing the file table or whatever that index file is called.

I think this is the effect he's looking for. It's from the Superman 2 movie. It looks kind of 3D-ish. Maybe it's something from Hollywood FX?

If you have VLC player, you could try to convert it to MP4 that way. Make a note of the video and audio stream specs. Open the video in VLC. Then Media> Convert/Save and follow the prompts.
