KGatz007: . . . . I searched the net a few times, but I also need a tape player or something. That’s the real problem.
I have a Samsung VR8460 VCR, with the remote, that you could borrow if needed. Haven't used it for a few years but it worked the last time I used it.
You'd still need an interface to your device.
And there's ...

KGatz007: My girls, well one of my girls, is bugging me to get the 100’s of hours vhs video I have of them put into digital. Kind of what brought me here, looking to see what the latest and greatest devices are out there these day to start transferring all that tape. Something that will hook up to a Mac. Your girls are 24? Yikes, my daughter just turned 48!
Don't do a lot of video stuff these days. My granddaughter is 15 years old now so I'm past the point of doing cutesy birthday parties.

It might be that you need to have a version of Quicktime on your computer for the mov to work in Studio. A while back there was a lot of talk about issues with QT players being prone to viruses and Apple quit supporting it. I have version 7.7.6 on my computer from 2014 and haven't had any problems myself.
I can give you a copy of 7.7.6 if you ...

Probably not much help for now, but there's a plugin in After Effects called ''Unmult'' and it's sole purpose is to remove the color black from any video file that AE will accept. Once that's done, I'm able to export the particle file as either an uncompressed avi file or a QT file with an alpha channel.I don't have PS24 so can't test ...

Usually, if you drag and drop the video on to Audacity it will extract just the audio which you can then output to whatever format you need. That's generally mp3 or wav.
