KGatz007: . . . . I searched the net a few times, but I also need a tape player or something. Thats the real problem. I have a Samsung VR8460 VCR, with the remote, that you could borrow if needed. Haven't used it for a few years but it worked the last time I used it. You'd still need an interface to your device. And there's ...

KGatz007: My girls, well one of my girls, is bugging me to get the 100s of hours vhs video I have of them put into digital. Kind of what brought me here, looking to see what the latest and greatest devices are out there these day to start transferring all that tape. Something that will hook up to a Mac. I already asked if studio was ...

Doing okay for a septaginarian, and yourself? Your girls are 24? Yikes, my daughter just turned 48! Don't do a lot of video stuff these days. My granddaughter is 15 years old now so I'm past the point of doing cutesy birthday parties. I was keeping in touch with Alley for quite a while but haven't heard from her recently (like in ...

• Re: Re:Video on Flash Drive

I have an LG TV and it creates a folder on the flash drive itself that is used to remember where it left off. I assume it also remembers settings for subtitles and so on using that file. As long as I don't delete that folder it will remember all the settings even if I remove it from the TV. If I have multiple movies on the flash drive, the ...
• Re: st21ult-how to bring in a purchased .m4p song

I was under the impression that if you could play anything through your speakers, regardless of source, Audacity would also be able to record it in real time. Once Audacity has it, it can be outputted in whatever format you want.

• Re: Re:PS 24 Ultimate: Import and use a video with alpha channel

It might be that you need to have a version of Quicktime on your computer for the mov to work in Studio. A while back there was a lot of talk about issues with QT players being prone to viruses and Apple quit supporting it. I have version 7.7.6 on my computer from 2014 and haven't had any problems myself. I can give you a copy of 7.7.6 if you ...

• Re: Re:PS 24 Ultimate: Import and use a video with alpha channel

Probably not much help for now, but there's a plugin in After Effects called ''Unmult'' and it's sole purpose is to remove the color black from any video file that AE will accept. Once that's done, I'm able to export the particle file as either an uncompressed avi file or a QT file with an alpha channel.I don't have PS24 so can't test ...

• Re: Moving Audio asset to timeline

Usually, if you drag and drop the video on to Audacity it will extract just the audio which you can then output to whatever format you need. That's generally mp3 or wav.
