Perhaps you're thinking of the ''Dolly Zoom'' effect? Dolly Zoom Joe

• Re: Re:Overlays - Ultimate Studio 22

What version of Quicktime do you have? I'm still on W7 but I have version 7.7.6 that I installed 5 years ago and don't have issues with mov files I use in other apps. I haven't used it recently in Studio, (I have 21), but don't recall any issues. Joe
• Re: Bluray issues

I think Imgburn has the ability to erase a BD-RE disc. Might be worth a shot. What little reading I've done on the topic leads me to believe it does a complete format of the disc rather than just erasing the file table or whatever that index file is called. Joe

I think this is the effect he's looking for. It's from the Superman 2 movie. It looks kind of 3D-ish. Maybe it's something from Hollywood FX? FLIP EFFECT
• Re: iPhone .MOV files

If you have VLC player, you could try to convert it to MP4 that way. Make a note of the video and audio stream specs. Open the video in VLC. Then Media> Convert/Save and follow the prompts. Joe

• Re: Building a computer for p19 or p22

Get a bluray burner if you intend on burning discs. You can get one for not a lot more than the dvd writer you listed. And it will do dvd's, blurays, and CD's. Amazon LG Bluray Rewriter Personally, I'd spend a little more money and get a Samsung 860 SSD, 500GB Samsung has a very good reputation for their SSD's. I have two and I'm very happy ...

• Re: Studio Hogs My DVD Tray

I had the same problem with my bluray burner. I did some searching and found a solution on the Tom's hardware website. Below is a copy and paste of what someone posted. It works for me, might work for you: This is most probably a problem with the eject motor and/or it's sensing electronics.I HAVE the exact same problem with an LG GGW-H20L ...

• Re: Re:Full-frame overlays (transparency... but not really)

Try exporting from AE as an mov file with transparency, (RGB+A). Studio should be able to recognize the alpha channel. Joe P.S. If that doesn't work, google for a free AE plugin called Unmult. Apply that to your effect and it will make the black background transparent.

• Re: VCR Player or Tape --- Damaged or Dirty?

Have you tried fast forwarding and then rewinding a tape before trying a transfer? It can't hurt to loosen them up a bit if they have sat for many years without being touched. And they are subject to deterioration just from being in an uncontrolled environment such as humid areas or wide temperature changes. I think the estimated life span ...

• Re: Pinnacle crashes when trying to import large size files

I was curious about the OBS software so I took a quick look at a youtube tutorial for beginners. The instructor seemed to indicate you could record in mp4 format. Perhaps you can double check your settings. One other thought is to see if there's a utility for splitting your file into 2 or 3 shorter lengths before importing. It doesn't matter ...
