The reason hes asking is he has a computer with 1.8ghz and it runs S8 but its at its peak and this new computer processor is a double 1.8ghz and Im lead to believe that the duo does not kick in unless your multi-tasking?

Hi Chaseme5 try and capture via Firewire to see if you still drop frames. I had a big problem capturing with S11U and dropping frames it was not in the same place on the same video clip so it was very random. I have had this from day 1 and was wondering in S11U the background of a transition wipe is like a bluey/black colour a bit like SkyTV screen when no signal with a hint of black compared to S9+ which is totally black. Is this the way it should be. I can live with this or edit the BG but was wondering if its my System ?

Again thanks everyone for sticking with me on this one but just to update you what I have done
Did a re install of Win XP with 1 stick 1gb memory and the graphics card as I dont have another monitor outlet and 1 HD .when started up it acknowledge the graphics card on the black screen right away and never asked for drivers went to Device manager ...

Again thanks for trying to help me but I'm at a lost to whats wrong I've blamed the HD, Graphics Card, Memory, CPU and even unistalled software what I thought was causing these problems what else could it be. At the moment I'm thinking of taking out memory extra HDs Graphics Card and do Another clean install of xp and then try a video file or DVD ...
