NO WAY!
Aw man, if that's true, there is absolutely no reason whatsoever to spend any more money on another upgrade in Studio. I've been using this product for so long and have had such a love hate relationship with it over the years the it will be somewhat difficult to transition out of the product. I guess it's time to move on.
I did ...

I know your frustration. Here I am still not upgrading to Studio 14 because I've finally got my system working pretty consistently. Yes, the fuzzy menu still exists, and the workarounds must be invoked in order to get a menu that's somewhat decent (still no where near the quality of Studio 9 menus).
I did download the trial edition of ...

Just so I'm clear...
You copy the Pixie folder and save it somewhere else. Then BEFORE you install Studio you put the folder back into the location you got it from. I take it this mean you have to go into the new drive where you will be installing Studio and re-create the same path the Pixie folder was originally located -----> ...

Did Studio v14 ever fix the problem related to ''Pixelated Menus'' as was reported in Studio 12? I asked this question back in September when v14 was just beginning to come out. See this thread for more information. I'm hoping someone can confirm that this has been fixed since a lot of folks seem to be running v14 now.
My menus from v9 ...

Can anyone confirm whether the issues with pixelated menus is fixed in Studio 14? This thread talks about the issue and some of the workarounds. Pinnacle acknowledges this problem in post #210416 in that same thread. I'm hoping for a patch in Studio 12.1 to fix the problem. But I would at least hope it's been fixed in v14.

A few posts back I noticed a tie in between ticking on and off the ''Use Progressive Encoding''. In my case when it's ''off'', the video itself gets pretty jagged. There also seems to be some link between the length of the video being encoded and the menu. It's almost as if the menu is being encoded with the same compression ratio as the video. In ...

I was using a Pinnacle HD Ultimate Stick (USB) until I borrowed a friends ADVC 110 Media Converter
Wow, what a difference that made. No dropped frames and almost
a perfect 1:1 copy. I would even dare to say that the outputed video,
at least on VHS, seems better than the original.
I ordered one
that same day and have been using it pretty ...

Thanks for the reply. I was just hoping there was something that could do that would allow the sound to pass through to my speakers via the firewire without having to do any workarounds. Although, what you suggested is a good idea.
What I did was grab some old speakers that had audio inputs on them and just split the signal from the VCR to those ...

bittmann:Like turning up the volume on your camcorder... That's ''simple'', innit?
LOL, simple if I was using a camcorder. I'm using a VCR (Standard size VHS tapes) feeding through a Canopus ADVC 110 Analog to Digital converter (no speakers on any of them). No problem at all using Mini-DV camcorder, audio plays through the speaker just ...

Marc P.:Yes it has been like this since I first tested Studio 10. But there are simple ways around it.
Care to share?
