I have the r200 and a canon ip5200. Both are good, but the canon is about 3x as fast. I do batches of 200 - 500 with the canon and it works great.
Acoustica CD Designer is an excellent design software. 29 bucks and has presets for almost 100 printers.

I use TPMG for fast, bombproof single film masters. For anything menu-driven, i find sony dvd archictect both intuitive and powerful enough to author whatever i want.

i have an idea. instead of locking threads / deleting posts we could develope a soundbooth-style frequency modulation system that would just remove unwanted noise from threads with a lasso tool.

just trying to figure out a way to avoid that sort of constant workaround in the workflow.....plus i'd like to really figure out what is happening. The HV20 can't really be a go-to camera if it won't work well in an FX1 based flow ....

Not sure how to test myself - ie, nothing works well so far.
1) original footage is 25p pal, cinemode, shot at dusk on a well lighted street. Camera rises very slowly past snow laden branches, showing a shoplit street beyond. Looks clear and sharp and beautiful on a rgb, non interlaced timeline.
2) Same footage looks not so sharp and ...
