I know what you mean. This school presented 5 shows of Wizard of OZ Thursday thru Sunday (2 shows Saturday). We video'd 4 of them. My two versions are coming from Fri nite and Sat nite with cover shots dropped in from the other shows if needed. Dorothy was played by identical twins (interesting editing possibilities). ...

Thank you, Dave. What I did is selected, on the corrupt project timeline, all video and audio clips on all 15 tracks, copied, then pasted to the 15 new tracks in my new recovery project. The 2 1/2 hour new project is now rendering. I haven't explored the procedures noted in your last sentence but will explore.
I think the ...

Okay. I can see I'm in new territory with this one. I've been building this project on an external, interchangeable 1Tb drive (write and render). Recently, while attempting to log/capture additional HD tape, an error popped up ''Delayed write, etc.'' on the external drive. I shut down, rebooted, relaunched and now cannot ...

I opened a new project and there is no problem capturing or importing into it. I'm beginning to assume the huge project I've been working on has somehow become corrupted related to import and capture. I cannot drag any of the project's clips onto the timeline. Luckily I fused all the segments so they should import okay into the ...

First time in 5 years with this sudden problem. I successfully capture HDV Native Transfer M2V via firewire with the logging tool, I close it out but it does not populate the Sequence Rack in my project. Instead, it only shows up in the Media Tab and is playable locally there. I cannot import the file via Import Media Clip in a ...

In case someone has a repeat of this error message warning that ''some media is missing'' I wanted to add how I troubleshot the same problem today:
Everything on the timeline looked fine, no !'s, no red slices, everything was there. What I discovered was that, somehow, I had added an 'x' in audio properties of several clips that did not ...

Very good, Melvin. Thank you. And, thank you, Lew! It seemed to work splitting the graphic like that.

Right. I've been placing the video and audio on the timeline below the menu with fades in and out with no problem. What I'd like to avoid is the normal buttons (in the form of words like ''photos'', ''ceremony'', ''cake & garter'', etc., just popping in suddenly as or after the video/audio fade in. How can I get the ...

I'm searching for ''how to fade video in and out'' of the menu. Since the menu track won't accept the dissolve effect or apparently any other effects, how is it done? I've been attempting to fade in/out a still photo a track below at beginning and end but the DVD takes only the menu. Can you school me?
