Please help, Many og my Studio14 projects (saved in .stx) have lost the reference to the menu (and therefore all the Chapter markers) and also all the titles added to the timeline. Hu, After install of S18Ult - I take it the install procedure attemps to start S18 The spash screen tells me it is ''init Database'' and then the whole system crashes with a BlueScreen. Stopcode ''DPC Watchdog Violation''  Have tried removing S18 and restart install - same result. 

Found the dir with few Cache files and renamed. New dir was created - but no changes in the system. Still missing some effects. Tried reinstalling my S18 from last year - it still doesnt work - Blue screen on startup after ''Init Database'' After that I now have lost some effects in S14U and they cannot be activated.

I have been using PlayMemory when importing from different Sony Camcorders - and I get the date/time then in the filename on all .mts files that way. In other cases - i.e. from my GoPro - when using .mp4 the timestamp is embedded - but I have been using the filesystem date-time-modified to change filenames into so I have the info ...

On the 3 camcorders I have used so far the filename is the date/time for recording start time. Alternative it could be picked up from there or from the file date-time-modified attribute. Ce5   

Thanks - I will consider requesing new features. However with a S14 barely working now and a S18 Purchase last year that has not installed and worked at all - I'm not sure If I will continue at all using Pinnacle for more than just mantaining my legacy Studio projects. 

Thanks JJN Today I convert all my projects from DVD or BD to .m4v files using Handbrake - and I get the Chapter info in the converted file. I find it hard to beleve that no video editing tool cannot go direct from source files to a .m4v file with chapters. Why should it not be possible to avoid the Handbrake conversion and go ...

Im interested in knowing more about how this works. Are you able to export from Pinnacle a .m4v or .mp4 file with the chapter info in it (will i.e VLCplayer recocnise the chapters) ? Are you able to do a project with unlimited amount of chapters ?  Thanks
