Barye, I'm struggling with my current set-up. I am stockpiling avchd, or plodding through to get any worthwhile editing done. I need to upgrade, and make it last.

I output my disc images to my non-system drive anyway, and then save them away to NAS.
Off-topic, you've just recommended, on another thread, that 1080p be output to mpeg2-TS. What's the difference between this and mpeg2? Why is it better?

I am using Norton. I rarely, if ever, get warnings when scanning downloads, but both Microsoft and Norton flagged this. Just looked at my history on Norton and it is flagged as HIGH RISK (red).
