• Re: What´s happening to this image in a VHS?

caminante: PS: Has VHS-C a Super-VHS format functionality? Not in the strictest sense of the word no. The only difference between VHS and S-VHS (in both normal sized tapes and compact tapes that you use) is the actual tape material's surface composition, and the recorder used to record the information on the tape with - if it ...

  • Re: Studio 12 Ultimate BARELY Runs

I would go and uninstall the IDE controllers (all of them individually) in device manager and only then reboot the machine - Windows should then pick them up and install the drivers automatically requiring yet another reboot - if things go according to plan you should now be ok. BittMann - those are the ones yes

  • Re: Studio 12 Ultimate BARELY Runs

As an Intel fan-boy (by necessity rather than choice) I have to warn about CPUZ. The developers seems to be constantly screwing up with their feature set and its ability to consistently report on CPU states: Some versions report on C1 properly, some versions report on CPU current clock speed properly, some versions report ...

  • Re: Cloned Hard Drive Won't Open S11+ Projects

IMO cloning any suspect drive is a waste of time - You just don't know for sure what is and what is not still working/salvageable. On top of that your cloning success is a huge function of the intelligence of the cloning software designers - I use CasperXP and have yet to fault it on a working and known to be in good condition source ...

  • Re: How do I improve file export performance?

mgarratt: Virtualization, at least using MS Virtual PC is not an option. The specs on the virtualized session are way too low to actually do anything. Oh well... If I am rendering my final output (to DVD .ISO) and my Quad Core Q6700 is only at about 30-40% (studio.exe in task manager), doesn't that mean that my HDD are a ...

  • Re: Importing DVD's Results In Longer Than The Orignal Videos

danvm: After messing with this for a day, I'm addressing this forum for help... I've been trying to import unprotected DVD's and I always wind up with a video that is much longer than the original because it creates stills that last from a couple minutes to 15 minutes. There can be several in a 1 hour video and it usually starts ...

  • Re: Can't import AVI files from Cool Edit Pro 2

Ozpeter:I have a very distant memory that this is a DV type1 / type 2 problem. A utility that converts from one to the other might provide a fix.Its not a ''simple'' type1 or type2 DV avi problem in the traditional sense. The graph I posted is a result of me trying to play the CooleditPro2 file in ''Media Player Classic'' ...

  • Re: Can't import AVI files from Cool Edit Pro 2

While I agree with your findings in S12 (and S11) , I cannot confirm your findings with the other editors because I no longer have them on my machine. I take it you are using the suggested multi-track work-flow in Cooledit2 and then saving the mix-down session containing your edits to a new file to be imported into Studio? If so, ...

  • Re: Studio 12.0.0.6163 "Export failure [render error]"

Yes - I have seen it probably 6 times now. Question - are you using mixed color system source material on the timeline - ie - PAL material in a NTSC project?
