I'm glad I stayed with 12.1.

That's the best way to go.

I don't think shooting at 1440x1080 60i is a mistake. That would be the normal way to shoot. Then from the timeline make a movie file, MPEG4 or whatever for the internet.
sorry for butting in Jef

I heard the best setting for the camera frame for the internet is 30F. is it true shooting at 60i is bad for the internet..
If thats true, why inside studio project there is 1440 X 1080 60i, In other words there is no 1440 X 1080 30f.

We shoot weddings in HD 1440x1080i. We edit in HD with background rendering turned off. When complete we delete Aux. files and delete the render folder. Restart studio with 0 in render folder, re-encode entire movie and burn to SD DVD.

If your looking for Hi-Def don't buy the Sony TRV-950. It's not HD. I used this camera for many years before going HD. It's a good SD camera. I think it's overpriced for a used one.

In edit mode at the top choose ''setup'' then ''Project preferences''
project format = set from first clip added to project.
Then restart Studio and drag your capture to time line. Hover over the name to see what format the video is. It should be 1440x1080 or 1920x1080 HDV.
In ''make File'' choose Mpeg 2.

I always use rewritable discs on the first burn. Saves money.
Do you background render your project ? If so do you let it finish before you burn ?
What are your burn settings ? Do you check: Always re-encode entire movie ?
Do you delete your Aux. files. ?
