It should be. Import, at least.
I've just imported 4:2:2 in other formats, AVC and XAVC. I can also import XDCAM, though the ones I have are 4:2:0. In neither case do I see the preview problem reported.

Looking into how we can enable a save config change, without waiting for shutdown. Of course, we should not crash, and we're working urgently on those for a patch soon. But maybe we also don't need to wait for app restart to save configuration changes.

Your Nvidia card enables HEVC Decode (Import) to Studio. GTX 960 or newer will enable HEVC Decode.
