• Re: poor quality menus

Here's what we did in the comparison tests: -DV clip on TL ''From the Board Room'' menu, one chapter point. -Use Menu Editor to select a Jpeg file as background (10MP image if I recall). -Export to DVD, played in software player and took a screenshot. In our comparison we observed that S9 had good clarity, especially on ...

  • Re: poor quality menus

The problem as reported in the opening post here, was reproduced here in QA during the S14 test cycle. Fixes were made, and menu quality is much improved in Studio 14 - menu background image and menu text is sharper, the fuzziness problem is improved overall (we also used S9 quality as the benchmark). Unfortunately this ...

  • Re: Anyone using the i7 920 yet ?

If I recall this benchmark was done by exporting AVCHD file to AVCHD disc. And, the minimum specification machine used in this benchmark was a QX6700 2.66GHz quadcore which should be a hair faster than your Q6600, but basically, yes - we saw Studio export times cut in half going from Intel 2.66 QuadCore (8MB L2 cache, not ...

  • Re: Anyone using the i7 920 yet ?

We evaluated a pre-release Core i7 machine (3.2GHz, 3GB) and completed some benchmark tests; we also have recently purchased and installed a machine in our test lab for ongoing compatibility tests (2.93 GHz, 4GB). Using Studio 12.1: Preview: Plays smoothly three 1920x1080 (60i, 50i, 24p or 25p) AVCHD streams at Full-Resolution ...

  • Re: Dazzle Creator plus with vista 64

Vista 64 drivers are now available for Dazzle Creator devices (DVC-100, 101, 103, 107) here. For best results, you should have installed the Studio 12.1 patch, since there were problems observed with these devices and this OS in 12.0, but those should have all been resolved by the time of the 12.1 release. 1. Close Studio and unplug ...

  • Re: DVD Import

Many causes of the improper duration of imported DVDs had been fixed before the 12.1.3 release. We have a couple defects still open on the problem, one of them is regarding DVD recorders - for this we have received a sample DVD created by a Wharfedale unit, though the user reported similar problems with others. What brand of DVD ...

  • Re: AVCHD poor Quality

Maybe a silly question - is your Timeline is in HD format? If you have not changed Setup->ProjectPreferences->ProjectFormat, then ''Set from First Clip'' would be checked, and any HD clip you added to the Timeline (first) would then change the TL to HD to match the clip. If you have added an SD clip at some previous time, ...
