I've looked at Vegas and am not impressed. The fact that a project can only have one sequence (like Pinnacle Studio) is a non starter for me. I use multiple sequences in almost every project and do nest them into a final edit. The way sequences can be tabbed in Edius is one of my favorite features. I also like the fact that you can create and save ...

I remember you Tim. I highly recommend you take a look at Grass Valley's Edius. The current version will run under Win 8 and there is an inexpensive crossgrade offer from Grass Valley for Liquid users (any version). The nice thing about Edius is that it will run on almost any computer so go to Costco or some other store and buy the best Intel I7 ...

Edius 7 is a 64-bit application and will not work with your old 32-bit plugins. First check to see if any of those plugins are available in 64-bit format and what the upgrade cost is. To be honest, I would have stuck with 6.5 for the moment unless there was some feature you had to have in Ver. 7. The main advantage of 7 is it works with hardware ...

I don't think Liquid will be able to work with those MP4 files. I don't think Liquid supports H.264. You will probably have to transcode them to another format before importing into Liquid. If I recall correctly, Liquid stopped at H.263. While Liquid was a great editor, it is probably time to move on, especially if you are going to use file based ...

Looks like all the downloads are still available in the Avid Knowledge Base. Here is a link to the page.
UPDATE: These links no longer work.

It appears that Corel has removed all support for Liquid from the Pinnacle website. The links to the downloads no longer exist.

A couple of things. As you installed a new motherboard, did you install the updated drivers for it in the old version of XP you are using? If it is an Intel motherboard, you can go to their site and get them or the site of the manufacturer of your board. Make sure you update the audio drivers for the onboard audio also. Those should be on the ...

When you installed the new motherboard, did you reinstall XP? Is this still a dual Xeon system? Did you do any overclocking? You could try reinstalling Liquid over itself and see if that helps.

Interesting. If you have a good fused AVI, you might want to try something like Sony DVD Architect Studio to make the DVD. It is a very good and inexpensive DVD authoring program. I assume you are still running Liquid under XP.

My guess is that it is the converted files. What happens if you fuse the timeline to a new file, put that in a new sequence and burn the DVD from there. I had real problems with converted files in Liquid doing exactly this.
