By my count, that's zero, Gary.
Wow - perhaps you should ask people to PM you with their votes.
I for one took your MC upgrade offer when you had a few (prehaps the last) Liquid -> Xpress Pro -> MC 3.5 offer. Best move I ever made.
If you folks think its expensive then you're not considering that it ships with Boris RED, BCC AVX 6, Avid ...

The Samsung has a HD103UJ model (SpinPoint F DT) with the same specs but at 7200 RPM (i.e., not the EcoGreen version). I recently bought a couple of these and installed in a RAID-0 configuration - very nice and you can't beat the price.
Good luck.

Maybe Avid has some deal going with nVidia?

You might think that from all the talk about why one should just buy a cheap nVidia gamer card rather than 'waste' money on a Quadro. These discussions are misleading. First, the quality of the FX 3700 is far superior to any gamer card I have seen (and I've had many). But that's not why I purchased it, that's just something that no one ever ...

This sort of made me laugh. I moved over to the dark side (Media Composer) about a year ago having used Liquid for about six years prior. I still keep Liquid on my system but seldom use it these days. Anyway, my Media Composer system is a home-built and I had cheaped-out on the graphics board until yesterday when my Quadro FX 3700 arrived. One of ...

You'll have to choose the codec to use for the transcode. I had pretty good luck with the M-JPEG codec that ships with Liquid. I now use DNxHD with Media Composer but I recommend M-JPEG or ...

I had exactly this problem happen to me but the computer was a custom job from a shop in Toronto. It fried my Panasonic GS70 (est. cost to fix was $800) and it fried my FX1 (cost to fix $2000). The shop paid to fix the FX1 (oh, and the mobo was fried in the process - they replaced that too). It amazes me that the shop in question didn't do some ...

Try setting the scaling of your clip (in Liquid) to 'Video size - keep aspect' and then in RED make sure you change the project settings to correctly identify the media (RED does not correctly read the project properties from Liquid so that may be your problem right there).
Hope this helps.

I just dragged and dropped a QT Ref file into SoundBooth CS4 (the QT was a reference to an DNxHD encoded 1920x1080 24p file) and CS4 froze up just as with Premiere and Encore. As noted, AfterEffects CS4 works just fine with this file. Go figure
