Welcome to the forum!
Does it work with the Windows part of the Macbook? Studio is a Windows program, not a OS X program, so I wouldn't expect it to work on a Mac directly. It has been reported to work with Windows emulators such as Bootcamp.

Greg,
I think your comment about the camera's menu setting is valid. I have a similar setting in my Sony HDV camera, but have not played with it, so can't comment if it will have similar results. So far (knock on wood), my camera, computer and software all seem to be working well together and I am reluctant to start changing things ...

''Need''? - No! (echoing bittmann's comment.)

It sounds as if you have only one physical drive in your computer. If that is the case, it could be the source of this and possibly other problems. Your profile does not mention the drive arrangement. Could you please clarify where you keep the imported media, audio files and render files?

Suggestion: Keep S14 on your computer, but also keep using S12 until one or more patches for S14 correct the various ...

Wait and see may be fine for retirees, hobbiests, and the ''artisan'' . There are shops that do weddings, corporate stuff, and social events. These people have little time to invest learning and re-learning NLE's. They may even bring someone in part-time to do some editing work while they are out shooting.
John,
I was ...

Edit: Whoops. Didn't see that this was in the Liquid forum. However, on the camcorder side, my suggestion remains.
Greg,
I think that cameras and their settings work the same way in the Liquid Forum as they do in the Studio Forum. Why do we insist on this ''Us'' and ''Them'' attitude in these technical ...
