• Re: Hassles, Headaches & Frustrations...WE HAVE OVERCOME !! If you have capture issues...give a look

Follow up I went ahead and purchased the Studio 12 Plus Upgrade version.... $29 download....not bad at all.... It seems pretty stable here, but after all I have gone thru...it darn well better be !! I guess my evalutaion with pose the question: What does v12 offer that v9.4.3 didn't offer several years ago ? Other than ...

  • Re: I Need Help!!

Hi, I might offer a suggestion that you add a separate USB2.0 PCI adapter. Try to get one that uses an NEC chipset. Bad Pool Header error can be problematic to track down. If you ONLY get the error with the dazzle unit attached, it is always possible that the Dazzle device is broken in some way. On a more twisted thought, your ...

  • Re: file conversion

Just a couple 2 cents.... If you decide to go with STudio 12...do look at the very reasonable UPGRADE prices....rather than a whole new retail boxed version. Since you already own 9.4 you should qualify for the upgrade version for (PLUS) at $29 is much easier to take than $79 for the retail box. You would have to do a full uninstall of the v12 ...

  • Re: Capturing problem using 500 USB and Studio 12

Hi, I would offer my pat answer to capture issues on USB. Do, if you can, verify the USB chipset on your pc, and if you can, do try an add-in USB2.0 card with an NEC chipset as opposed to some other USB2.0 chip maker like VIA or RealTek (does RealTek make USB2.0 chips ?) I can only say it has made all the difference for me. SD

  • Re: Blue screen of death

Hi, The Benderx64.sys driver is definitely one of the pinnacle installed drivers. So it is likely at least partyly safe to say IT is a problem for you. The other freezes (or lockups) during capture, if they are similiar to what I have seen using a USB device, can be related to the device being caught up in a IRQ (interrupt) conflict, ...

  • Re: uninstalling pinnacle

Hi, A great handy utility for uninstalling stuff is called REVO UNINSTALLER (freeware to boot). Itc an do removals at 4 different levels of ''completeness'' depending on your needs and comfort factor. I have used it with much success. SD

  • Re: Dazzle - 1st time user - audio lags video

Hi, Somewhat of a pat answer, but using USB2 with NEC based chipset seems to help quite a bit with the USB2 capture devices.... This was seen back in 2005 with studio 9 and MANY people seemed to have much better results once the had installed a NEC based USB2 adapter in their pc. I dont recall if anybody back then was able to find out just ...

  • Re: Blue screen of death

Blue screen crashes are almost always some sort of driver conflict or non-compatibility issue. First thing is whether the pc crashes with the pinnacle card is removed ? Next thing is whether you have any other PCI cards installed, and does it crash if you rremove those other PCI cards and re-run Pinnacle ? Does the Pinnacle PCI adapter ...
