Tony P:A lot of people talk about 24fps, but do not understand the reason why film was shot at that frame rate. Are they shooting with the 180 degree rule? Many talk about ''cinematic'', but do not even know what that means. These are buzz words tossed around like LUT's, ''color grading'' vs ''color correcting'' trying to mimic what ...

No worries Tony, let me explain. Bear in mind I am a newbie so perhaps there is something I am missing but my understanding is that 24 fps is the standard frame rate you see in movies. For news broadcasts it is typically 30 fps. Anything higher than that looks unnatural and you would only shoot in say 60 fps or 120 fps if you want to slow it ...

OK, I have not done it before so is my understanding correct that I should do the following: 1. Save the movie as package. 2. Close and re-open Pinnacle Studio. 3. Open the package, export again and see if the problem remains?

The original video was captured at 120 fps and the timeline is 24 fps. If by deleting the rendered files you mean deleting them from the timeline and then adding them again and re-rendering then no, I did not do it at the time. I did try it just now though and I get the same result. On the package question - I suppose it is possible but ...

On the package question - I am not sure. How ...

Candive / Tony - thanks for sharing your test results. Good to know that this is a wider issue rather than an isolated case. We are trying several things with Corel support, none of them seem to work just yet. I could live with slow (although it is not acceptable). However, the choppy video after edit is a dealbreaker for me. See ...

  • Editing Issues After Recent Update

Hello everyone, First post here. I am relatively new to video shooting/editing as I had been dealing with stills primarily in the past. I have purchased Pinnacle Studio Ultimate 24 earlier this year and have successfully completed one video project. It seems all was fine until the most recent update (24.1.0.260). When I try to ...
