Hello everyone,
It has been some time but I thought that I would let you know that my issue is fixed.
I think it was a driver issue.
After uninstalling and installing Pinnacle studio 18 Ultimate a few times and deleting the scratch folder I got a good version of 18.1 that worked with the test footage.
I then patched to 18.5, no problems ...

Hello, the bios is up to date according to the msi website.
Yes it exports when changed to NVidia but still really slow.

I have put NG Studio and Pinnacle Studio on the graphics performance list in Windows 10 and set them to Intel GPU.
I started PS18 and set hardware acceleration to Intel.
I set my project to render to bluray image h264 best quality 1920x1080 / 50i dd 5.1, I pressed create and the first frame loaded and just stopped, no hang just ...

It's 18.0, I can't get 18.5 or 18.6 to work with hardware acceleration. It is a 60 second clip!
The problem is that my last very modest HP i3 laptop 4 gig of ram was very fast at rendering, and would do the same test in a fraction of the time, why is that?

I have rendered a 60 second clip AVCHD 1920 x 1080 / 50i Dolby digital 5.1 audio.
From my C drive SSD to an external mechanical drive connected USB 3.
My output file is a bluray image h264 1920 x 1080 / 50i Dolby Digital 5.1 audio. Best bluray, render first, 448 mb/s Dolby Digital 5.1 audio. No menu, titles, ...

I uninstalled PS18 including all packs and everything, I then used the Pinnacle registry cleaning tool and reinstalled PS 18 with no patches.
I was able to play the test footage with hardware acceleration on, intel and Cuda using either integrated or dedicated graphics.
I tried a render sample, it was quicker than with no ...
