I upgraded to 22 and noticed that when I have used the Cross Fade or Fade in out transitions in a project that they are missing when I open the same movie project in 22. Is this just a me thing. Cheers Here is the project in 21.

  • Re: Canon VIXIA AVCHD PF30 is not progressive or interlaced?

As usual, you are right on ''key'' Set your project to 30p (30p). For DVD* output I chose 30P* NTSC Widescreen. When I picked 60i coming from the P30 project it looked choppy in the fast moving parts. Same for 60i for project and 30P for DVD. Now if you are using standard 60i footage or a different project set up but need to add some of these ...

  • Canon VIXIA AVCHD PF30 is not progressive or interlaced?

Hi all, I received some footage to edit and make a Youtube video and disk out of. Can be DVD ugh! or Blue-ray. I am having a bit of an issue with it. The footage according to MediaInfo is 1080 @ 29.97 interlaced top-field first. Now when I set the project to that and rendered out an MP4 it looked odd. Also when I made a standard NTSC DVD it ...

  • Re: PINNACLE is 2 BUGGY! - export nightmare

I video gymnastic meets with Studio 20.2 on AMD 8 core with a good geforce card and ssd. I also have rendering issues on large complex projects now and then. Similar issues 1080p mpeg4 render would fail but 720 worked. MPEG2 1080p would work but DVD creation would fail. Sometimes the MPEG4 worked fine and the DVD creation would render without ...

  • Re: HD to DVD work flow

That explains the audio issue. I thought I was crazy but that was happening to some of the audio tracks. I will try mpa and compare. I never used PCM. I did a bit more testing and found if I sharpen the footage on the timeline in 1080p@30p or 720p@30p then go to DVD widescreen 30p with ''Best Quality'' it looks the best. I think the softness is ...

  • Re: HD to DVD work flow

culpanr: You ought to be able to get at least 2 hours on a single-layer disc and 4 hours on a double-layer disc without appreciable loss of quality - try ''fit to disc'' or custom settings; you don't have to stay on Studio's ''100% quality'' setting. And if you're using PCM audio, consider Dolby 2-channel or 5.1 (or MPEG audio if your target ...

  • Re: HD to DVD work flow

saby: Ok, but how long is the video on a DVD ? 8 hours ? I can't believe it. No it is about 1.5 hours. Just enough to go over the 4.7 GB and fill half of a dual layer.

  • Re: HD to DVD work flow

culpanr:IMO creating an intermediate MPEG-2 fie is probably unnecessary unless your PC has a slower CPU and can't handle hi-def AVCHD video. But, if you are having trouble handling the original AVCHD files, try creating a hi-def MPEG-2 file using the ''HD 1080p'' preset (1920 x 1080, 30fps progressive, video bit rate 30MB/sec). That MPEG-2 file ...
