I had already run in install model as administrator and then I also changed compatibility mode in file properties. Still no luck...

10 IS INSTALLED. I have not patched it since the plan was to install 14 and then ignore 10. 14 is what get the pixietool.exe error.

OK I got an older computer, reformatted the hard drive and installed Windows 7.

Installing Studio 10 (ignoring the compatibility issue message) got me past the first error.
Now it hangs after putting in key for Studio 14 and trying to register product to new computer.

The digital download was an upgrade version. I had to enter the key from my Version 10 disk. I was hoping to install 14 and not 10 and then upgrade as 10 is soooo old it would not be compatible with current OS
I will try and attach a portable CD drive and stick in the original disk and see if that works.

When trying to install Pinnacle 14 Studio Upgrade on my new laptop I have the following experience.
