Pinnacle 12 working fine on Windows 8 nagging pop ups to upgrade to 8.1 .... Did it and now Pinnacle 12 doesn't launch due to compatibility issue? Does reinstalling pinnacle 12 fix the issue? Anyone can confirm if this version no longer works with 8.1??

what would be the best option for export to file, with little to no loss in quality from original source files in the project which are from Sony HDV-HC3? Choose MPG4 or MOV?

Is it possible to export/move/transfer whatever you wanna call it my project from 16 to version 12 of Pinnacle Studio? If so how would I go about it doing so? Do they use same project extension etc? 

Yes that is correct. Just a nusance in preview mode while importing to see the audio/video oos and wondering if everyone gets that too.

Thanks bob, that's what I thought.   tony yes it's minidv tape. Using FireWire to import to PS16. Like bob says the preview monitor doesn't look right with sound of out sync, yet once it's all done importing and I play the captured file within PS16 or windows explorer it plays fine no oos issues. It's just the preview monitor portion scared ...

The recording is set to 1080i in camcorder. It's not out of sync when finished captured. It plays fine 

Have all latest drivers installed.

What could be the issue? Brand new system nothing but pinnacle on it. Will adding a GPU make the import preview any better? 

Looks fine when imported to me. Doesn't looked stretched.
