• Re: Adorage and Heroglyph Error Messages

Thank you for the suggestion. I did Internet searching and spent quite some time at sites like Prodad and others trying to find a solution. But I don't really need either Adorage or Heroglyph. I simply want to get rid of the messages that keep popping up whenever I use Studio. Whenever I use a software application and a message ...

Yes, I may have OOS issues and didnt realize it. I went through many VCR tapes, edited out front and back ends, removed commercials when necessary, burned DVDs. This was all before I heard of Dropped Frames, OOS, etc. I now have 82 suspect DVDs that I need to review. I only discovered the problem when there was a movie that I hadnt ...

  • Re: Adorage and Heroglyph Error Messages

I have been having problems with the Adorage and Heroglyph support-library messages on my Laptop computer. Each time that I start Studio15, I see these messages and it makes me wonder whether the software is working as it should. Over the past several weeks I have tried multiple times at re-installing and still get those messages. A ...

jjin, Yes, all tests have been using one of the My Passport USB drives. I did capture some on the internal drive some time back, but it was before I realized that there was a problem with audio-video sync and I simply burned them to DVDs without actually reviewing them. The computer originally came with 2 USB ports on the front and 4 on ...

I think that I am confused. I don't understand 'sharing a port'. I have been using a USB port in the front of the computer for the 510-USB and one on the back for the Passport HD. this time I used 2 USB ports on the back of the computer. Is that no good?

jjn- I find the similarities in the 2 recordings interesting. Both show the first ~20 min as OK/then at about 0:40 there is another ~20min OK. Major difference is between 1:15 and 2:00. I was extremely disappointed in the avi recording. That was done on the Desktop. External HD is My Passport 1T (USB3.0 capable using USB2.0 cable ...

  • Re: Dropped Frame Explanation ??

I have done a lot of reading trying to understand the VHS to Digital process. Here is what I think that I learned. The video comes off the VHS in an interlaced mode from the video stream. Two fields from the interlaced signal are placed on a frame along with the audio data from the data stream. I dont know how dropped frames ...
