Tamara, Thank you that helps. Also please identify the media/equipment/software that you are using to try to ''feed'' images into the computer for the Capture process.

Tamara, You need to give us more information to work with. What are you trying to do? Have you been able to do it before and it no longer works? What equipment are you using? What other applications are running on the equipment besides Pinnacle? etc. ronjin

  • Re: Import problem (Importer.exe stopped working)

Tamara, What applications/programs do you have open when using Pinnacle? What type of input box or media are you using with Importer? When I import I have found the best success when I shut off everything that is not necessary. I use msconfig.exe to prevent loading of Start items, shut down my local network and Internet, disconnect ...

  • Re: Green Preview Screen

I believe that I have figured out what has been causing the Green screen problem on my laptop. I am posting this in case it might be of help for someone with a similar problem. Pinnacle sometimes gives a not responding message when performing a task. Initially I would shut down and start over. Then I started using Microsoft's Task ...

I have run ~15 tapes through the Canopus process. Only on 2 or 3 did it note any dropped frames. I did not try to associate dropped frames with the green screen problem. Now I will look for that association and post back in a few days.

  • Re: Green Preview Screen

jjn, this will be a rather long message but to respond to your question I decided perhaps it would be helpful to describe what I am trying to do. My wife and I are in our 70s and over the years we have accumulated ~650 VCR tapes. Each of these tapes have 3 or 4 movies on them. I have many boxes of tapes and recognize that VCR units are ...

  • Re: Green Preview Screen

Still getting that green screen. I get it a couple of times a day when doing editing on the Laptop. It occurs when I have several hours of scenes in the Album, select a couple of hours worth and move them down onto the Timeline. I've been watching the Task Manager and it does not seem to be using a large amount of the CPU (maybe 30% ...

  • Re: Adorage and Heroglyph Error Messages

Just to close this item out- It has been several weeks since I used the reinstall process described on Feb 2 on both my computers. I use both computers daily for converting VCR tapes to DVD formats and I have never seen anymore messages related to Adorage or Heroglyph.

  • Re: Adorage and Heroglyph Error Messages

OK, I am ready to say that the re-install process that I described on Feb 3rd does work. After I posted the note and started Studio15, I got an error The feature you are trying to use is on a CD-ROM or other removable disk that is not available. Insert the Pinnacle Studio 15 disk and click OK I restarted Studio several times ...
