I have a Studio Moviebox HD unit. It does have DV(Firewire) input [among others] and USB 2.0 output. I used it on a Win7 machine. Send me a PM if you are interested.

I don't think that will work. I have activation keys that should work on the Desktop, but I believe that they are being rejected because the Passport ID number is identical to the Pinnacle software loaded on the Laptop.
I am assuming that the Passport ID number is the Key related to activation keys rather than the software serial ...

I have 2 copies of
the Pinnacle Studio 15 software. I have one loaded on a Desktop and
the other on a Laptop. I have been using the Desktop version for
simply extracting videos from VHS tapes and using the Laptop version
for editing, creating, etc.

Studio or computer expert. I have tried to post things that worked

To my knowledge Task
Manager cannot be overridden. I simply stopped opening it up to view
application and process activities when I use Studio.

I was reading a recent posting on
Studio 12 where a Mirror effect was mentioned in RTFX Volume 1.
I have Studio 15 and instead of Mirror,
it has Hall of Mirrors. Has anyone gotten this to work for flipping
frames in a horizontal or vertical direction (without multiple
fragmented ‘mirrors’)?
I did not know this capability might
exist ...

I had similar problems some time ago
and I have now established this practice whenever I am going to use
Pinnacle 15.
Go into MSCONFIG and turn off the
StartUp items.
Reboot
Do not use Task Manager while
using Pinnacle
