• Re: Pinnacle Studio 23 manual is missing

The link to the manual is now working but's it's only web-based. On the main page under ''learning resources'' there is a link for ''User Guide PDF''. When I click on that link, I get a 404 error and ''The requested URL /pinnacle/v23/en/user-guide/pinnacle-studio.html was not found on this server.''

  • Pinnacle Studio 23 manual is missing

From within Studio 23 when I click on the manual, I get a 404 error page: The requested URL /pinnacle/v23/en/help/index.html was not found on this server.

  • Re: PS23 is here....

Yep--just bought, downloaded and installed the upgrade to 23. I AM SO HAPPY that in the settings there is now a transitions choice--keep timeline in sync OR overlap the clips (YEAH!). Had a little trouble getting smartsound to get recognized. Here's what I did to get it to work: --open Smartsound (my version is 5.7.5) --open Studio 23 and start ...

  • Re: Re:What does this error mean ?

Open the original project--according to the error time code on your screeshot, look on your timeline at 18:15 - whatever footage/etc. is at that time, Studio is having trouble with it. Either remove it, or remove it and run it through another program (like Handbrake) and change it to a format that Studio can read, then re-insert it. That ...

  • Re: Re:Studio 22 Transitions

If I have a 30 second clip where the first half is one subject and the second half is another, I used to be able to use the razor tool to quickly split the clip into two parts, throw in a fade transition between the two new clips and it looks much better. Can't do that anymore because now just splitting a clip won't allow a transition to be ...

  • Re: Re:Studio 22 Transitions

Agreed--terrible choice. I applied the patch, the transitions still work haphazardly (frozen frames, have to pre-trim clips if I simply razor cut a clip and want a transition between the two split clips)...it's an awful increase in editing time. The worst part is that with Studio 21, I TRUSTED that when I added transitions they would work ...

  • Re: Transitions on PS 22

Let's say I have a one minute clip. The first :30 seconds of the clip is a group of people riding in a boat. The second :30 seconds of the clip is the same group of people now standing on the beach. I split the clip in half using the razor tool. Now I have two :30 seconds clips. I would like to put a fade transition in between the two :30 second ...

  • Re: Transitions on PS 22

They are a mess. If you split a clip with the razor tool and want to add a transition in between the two razor split clips, you can't. No idea why. You used to be able to quickly drag the corner of the beginning or end of a clip and pull it to a length that you want--not anymore. Now the transition gets pulled on to both the clip you're working ...

  • Re: Had to go back to version 21 from 22

That's my point--now I have to do an extra step on multiple transitions which wastes time...certainly not an improvement. I'm past my 30 days to return Studio 22 so I guess it's a loss unless the transitions get improved with a future update... Disappointing..
