I think I may have narrowed down the issue. I always go into advance  settings and use custom settings for output. 1920x1080 60fps H264 at a bitrate of 30mbit/s and It's off every time. Not sure about the Hero 3 being variable bit rate. It looses sync like the other two cameras. I've been in contact with support and they have me renaming studio going through AppData in windows.
