Hi Try this program its free and I have had no problems using You tube video in studio,
However you do have to download the video first, I use video downloader from Firefox.

But I have been waiting for this update to be able to import DVD's with the correct time scale!!!!
But still can't get the thing to update.
perhaps there is a moral there somewhere

I have a different error message if any one can help. When I start to install the patch I get so far then I get the following message and can get no further,
''ERROR 1324. The Path Pinnacle Contents Contains invalid character''
The install just stops at this point, can anyone through any light on this and how to get around it.

This problem it has been reported, to have been fixed in the next patch, so we will just have to wait for it to be released!
The DVDreader.dll fix does work in XP but not on vista, although I have found with anything above 45mins the audio goes out of sync
anybody else used this method and had problems with the audio?

I have the same problem and so quite a few others, Unfortunatly the DVD reader.dll from studio 11 dosn't work in vista as I have tried it, but it will work in XP.
It seems we are all going to have to wait for a patch if Pinnacle can get round to fixing It

you should be able to convert using Quicktime pro, export your file as an avi then studio should be able to read it. I have exported from Final Cut Pro this way and it worked for me.
Or you could download Digital Media converter from www.deskshare.com this little program will convert most file types including .mov into any number of ...

I think you are right about the Vista thing, as the audio was perfect on the XP machine. although I have imported a 8 min DVD on vista and that was fine . It started to go out when I tried to import a 1hr 30min DVD, which was out of sync from the first couple frames.It also happens if you rip the DVD onto the hard ...

Welcome to the board
As to which version to upgrade to depends what you want to do? the only one I would say keep away from is V10 as it never seemed to stable.
V12 is the latest and although there are a few little bugs if your system ect is upto it I would go for that, but check out the system & Graphics requirements first.
