  • Re: Syncing audio in the video-file with audio on a separate audio-file

Yes, you can use the separate video and audio (certainly with Studio Plus/Ultimate - the basic version of Studio may be more difficult as so many of the tools are not available):Put the video from your camera onto one track in Studio. Click the little speaker icon at the far left of the track (in the track ''header'') to mute the sound form the ...

  • Re: Help synchronising speech audio and close-up face video

Thank you both for your replies.  Yes I know how to do these two actions – either split the video or silence it as it were.  The point is that I have two video streams of the same length.  One video stream contains the actual PowerPoint presentation with clear edited voice audio.  The second video stream contains a picture of ...

  • Re: Syncing video and audio

Agreed - it sounds like somehow you are getting a detached audio track, which is very odd. Can you post a screenshot? If you have the easiest way to fix this would be to right-click on the video section and look at Active Streams. If Audio isn't selected, click it and the audio should return, in sync, embedded in the video track. The delet the ...

  • Re: Syncing video and audio

It sounds like you've detached your audio from the video, and it also sounds like you've got the insert setting on `Smart Editing Mode' or 'Insert Mode' Assuming you haven't  changed the beginning frame of either the audio or video by shortening, you should be able to move the starts to the same point and resynch them.

  • Re: Sync externally recorded audio with video -- Avid or pinnacle?

I'm on the run -- so I will repost something I wrote a while back for Pinnacle Studio -- in general the techniques are universal. Though most of my old post refers to syncing audio with video, even if you're syncing to 2 or more cameras you still need to identify a common event -- a camera flash, a mic slap for example -- and ...

  • Re: syncing seperate audio files with video files

IMHO it's probably best to avoid rendering out the synced files and editing those, as with some formats a rerender slips the sync by a third of a frame. not really an issue for one generation, but do three and you can spot the problem! It means you have to use a bit of care when editing, but once you are familar with how AS operates it's not too ...

  • Re: "Snap to" when syncing multiple audio and camera tracks

No, I'm afraid you can't, because PS (and all other video software) will only let you edit the video on frame boundaries. Some software will let you define an audio offset between the video and audio, but not Studio. The most you can be out is half a frame. If you just use one audio track, I very much doubt if you can see if lipsync is half a ...

  • Re: Audio de-syncing (17 Ultimate)

Welcome to the forum.  First, check to see what your project settings are.  Are they set to the correct frame rate for your video?  Same question for your export settings.  Does the frame rate match your project and source video?  What is the source of your original MP4 video? How long is the video?  And is the ...

  • Re: create video movie from three and more synchronous video files

As I didn't make very clear my earlier post, it is possible to move video only to the title track. So that gives you two AV tracks, 1 video only track and 2 additional audio tracks. If you put the removed audio (if you need it) from the video on the title track on the SFX track and the DAW audio on the music track, you can just about make it work. ...

  • Re: Syncing video and audio

Audio is selected on the Active stream for the video section. If I delete the audio track, it's not there on the video.    I have subsequently added two additional clips, and the embedded audio is there as it should be. I have a screen shot but don't know how to attach it. I don't use any on line photo service.
