Ihave placed this thread also in the dutch forum but after several week still no answer. Therefore a try in the english forum 

In my project (1920/1080 50p) of about 1 hour there are some clips made with a gopro 4 silver.

When using the wide angle correction on the gopro settings in combination with a standard transition. (pull the top right corner of the clip to the left) PS26U hangs. Or render bar turns red.

Only after removal of the transition can you continue working.

If I do not apply the wide-angle lens correction, it will work.

Anyone also experience this?

Not sure if anyone has responded to you on the dutch forum. Are you using the latest update to PS26;  26.1.0.238? I don't seem to have any problem applying wide angle corrections to my action camera clips.

I've installed  the last update. But did not try it again.

Maybe i'll give it a try but on this moment there is no project available. 

And indeed still no reaction on the dutch forum! 

A workaround might be to first try correct the gopro clips separately, export them and only then insert them into your movie.
