    Problem with newer codecs

Some car dashboard cam and drones use newer video codecs. I find Pinnacle Studio 25 Ultimate unreliable with the new codecs as it always crash. Anyone has a solution to this?

Try to convert it first with a video converter and then import it into PS25. Here's a link to a fee one: https://handbrake.fr/

This is fine. Thanks. I was wondering how to integrate the codec into Pinnacle Studio. I installed the codec into window's 10 and its Media Player was able to play it, but the studio still refuse to recognize it.

    Re: Problem with newer codecs

I have no issues using HEVC or exporting HEVC files. Do you have the HEVC extension from M$ installed and does your hardware support it?

Now while it might be a "newer" codec, it isn't a "standard" one.

    From the website:

HEVC** (H.265), XAVC, MXF, DVCPRO HD, XAVC S, GoPro LRV, Cineform

** HEVC (H.265) support requires supporting PC hardware or graphics card and Microsoft HEVC video extension installed.

I'll try the one from MS. Thanks.
