NewBlue TotalFX for PS 25U is now available and, with '177 plugins & 1500 presets,' is on sale for € 86,99. Does anyone already have experience with this package? I noticed that a post-2015 GPU is required. Would a graphics card w/o OpenCL work at all? It mentioned the following message: 'We are aware that there may be display issues when using Background Generator and Progressive Stretch but we are working hard with our partner to get them resolved quickly. You will receive updates automatically as they are finalized and ready for you to use.' What does this refer to?

Ok where exactly are you seeing this as per my previous post I'm not seeing anywhere that it says it's compatible with PS25U and when looking at prices, nowhere near 87 euro (see screenshot)

A lot of what they are offering I already have in VE1-7, Elements, Filters, Essentials, Stylizers. and Colorfast 1 and 2 But what really has my interest is the title editor they might package with the software. Curious to if it's Titler Pro 7? They mention nothing. Is it worth the cost? I would say so if you have none of the NBFX plugins and think you are going to use them, but I think I'll pass for the moment, especially if there is no GPU/CPU utilization to speed up the rendering on both timeline and export.

It's included as a standalone app.

I tried out NB Titler Pro 7 and was pleased to find out that it works as a standalone but also as a plugin of any video editor that uses OpenFX. In my case, I have HitFilm Pro as well as PS 25U. In addition, all NewBlue effects, transitions etc. that came with TotalFX work also work in HitFilm. I like the NB titler a lot. Took me a while to figure out the basics (some YouTube tuts helped) but I am finding out it's quite sophisticated and versatile. My GPU doesn't have OpenCL -- it's one of the requirements NewBlue lists -- but uses Cuda and everything works. Perhaps OpenCL would have made rendering faster.....

I have several NBFX plugins for OFX. They aren't that well optimized, even though I do have OpenCL.... btw Nvidia supports is also IIRC. I also have NBFX TP5 which I also like much more so than BorisFX Title Studio, again, another OFX plugin. If someone doesn't have any NBFX and want a bunch of addons, the price is more than fair. My only complaint is the price is in Euros although I am Stateside at the moment.

Isn't there a similar offer in the US, payable in dollars?

Are you saying that the OFX plugins don't work as well as the ones available in PS?

saby:Who did send you this email ? Corel or NewBlue ?
FWIW I received the email too - sent by Corel from a @pinnaclesys.com email address. I'm guessing I received the email because I recently bought an upgrade copy of PS25U... However there was quite a substantial discrepancy in the quoted price... - Clicking the "buy" (IMO misleadingly labelled as "download now") link in the email, a Pinnacle online store page was opened, a coupon code was automatically applied, and the total I was shown was GBP 90.99 (same price as shown in the email itself)
- However, going via the "NewBlue TotalFX" link on the in-app "Welcome" page in PS25U itself, the price shown is GBP 74.99 - GBP 16 cheaper!
Is what is available as an in-product purchase inside PS25U "the same beast" as was offered via the email? BTW I probably won't be buying at this time as I doubt that the effects would run very well on the weedy integrated graphics in my general-use PC that has PS25U
