Creating an animated spinning coin in PS25U

    Hi,

Suggestions about how best to create an animated spinning coin in PS25U where the two sides of the coin are different photos?  I know how to create a split screen template with a spinning circle, but the "back of the circle" is just the mirror image of the photo.

    Thanks!

There may be other ways, but here is what I've ended up doing:

    1. Create a split screen template with a circle, spinning the shape along the vertical axis.  Spun the circle in 180 degree increments up to 720 degrees - which apparently is the maximum.

    2.  "Save as" from template creator webpage.

    3.  Put animated "heads" of coin in template, and save up to timeline.

    4.  Pull saved coin template out.  This time put animated "tails" of coin in template, and save up to timeline.

    5.  put two tracks above/below each other.

    6.  flip transparency of upper track from 100 to 0 or from 0 to 100 every time the edge of the coin is facing you.

    7.  save project.

    8.  if you want to adjust the speed of the spinning coin, you have to export an mp4 of the project in order to use Time Remapper.

There may be better ways, but wanted to share this work plan for the benefit of others!

     Cheers!

If you have After Effects, or access to After Effects, this tutorial may be helpful in the future.
