Dotted line in front of the main cursor

Im working a new wedding video on 25 Ultimate. Ive just noticed a red dotted line in front of the main cursor and when you play the movie, the cursor rolls very quickly and looks juddery, but the actual movie is in proprer time. Ive not long completed another wedding video and this dotted line isnt there at all.

Ive attached a screenshot and wonder how this appeared and what it actually is.

Re:Dotted line in front of the main cursor

This means that you have reached the maximum zoom level of the timeline. The space between the plain red line and dotted red line represents one frame. The plain red line is at the beginning of the frame present in the preview window and the dotted one the end of the frame = the beginning of the next frame.

Reduce zoom level and you'll be good to go.

    2 methods :

    • place the mouse cursor at the very bottom of PS25 window, where you see the time graduations. The mouse pointer should become a small clock with two opposites horizontal arrows. Right-click + select an option in the dropdwown menu to adjust zoom level
    • place the mouse cursor at the very bottom of PS25 window, where you see the time graduations. The mouse pointer should become a small clock with two opposites horizontal arrows. Hold-down the left mouse buttton. Move your mouse to the left to reduce zoom level or to the right to increase it

There is even a 3rd method if the Navigator bar is dislayed. Double-click the whithe rectangle that represents the width of the timeline displayed zone => it should now display the whole movie length.

And a 4th method : hit the + and - keys of your keyboard. It adjusts zoom level.
