Hello. New here so excuse my possible ingorance.

Yesterday I purchased Pinnacle Studio 24, which included Multicam capture lite

I needed Multicam Capture to handle more than 2 inputs.

Today I purchased an upgrade to Multicam Capture (through the Upgrade button on Multicam capture lite) 

I have the downloaded .exe file  MultiCam_Capture_1.2.5.489.exe

when I attempt to run it, I get a message:

Setup Cannot Find a compatible version of Pinnacle Studio or Vision Studio on your system. Setup will now exit.

Anyone have a solution to this problem?

I have PS24 Ultimate and have had it since the program first came out.  I have used the screen capture lite feature quite a bit with no problem.  Recently, most of the time it will not even come up......period.  Rebooting does nothing, running as administrator does not help.  Since it is part of the PS24 program, there is no way to do an exclusive repair.  I did do a program repair, but that did not help.  I don't believe a complete uninstall and reinstall the PS24 program is the answer as it would probably show up again later. 

My PC is the latest state of the art, I7 processor, 16GB Ram, 512GB SS hard drive and it is very fast.  Any help would be appreciated.  Thanks.

Are you talking about Capture Lite or Capture full....

Have you tried reinstalling if from the Pinnacle installation files you downloaded?

64bit\MultiCamCaptureLite  is the folder location I have to run the installation .exe file for it.

 

No, I was hoping to avoid that and also it may do the same thing again if I just do a reinstall.  I did do a repair, didn’t help!!

Okay, I did reinstall over the old program without uninstalling.  Did not help.  Thanks.

You could try the following as a workaround: Open MultiCam Light by clicking the program shortcut (to avoid possible conflicts in your case, keep Pinnacle Studio closed). Select your capture sources, make sure you have ticked both 'Video Files' and 'Pinnacle Studio Project' boxes under 'Save As' and make a note of the folder where the files are saved to. Once you have finished your recording, go to the folder with the saved files and, after you have closed MC and opened PS, drag & drop the .mcam file into the Library and drag it to the timeline.

This, of course, will only work if MultiCam opens at all....
