    Moving Audio asset to timeline

I did a screen capture of an old radio recording from years ago.  I imported the file into Pinnacle 24.  I am unable to move it to the timeline.  I assumed that since I captured it any embedded security coding to prevent copying would be bypassed.  Is there any way I can get this to my timeline?  Thanks.

    PC-Custom Build

    I7 processor 12GB Ram

2TB hard drive with 1.45GB free space

What format is the recording? I'm assuming it is in a video format, so this is down to how you did the screen capture.

Can you play it in the source viewer?

Are you sure you didn't mean you have 1.45TB of free space?

It is WMA, probably should be MP3.  No, unable to play in source.  Will play stand alone in iTunes or WMP.  Thanks.

Usually, if you drag and drop the video on to Audacity it will extract just the audio which you can then output to whatever format you need. That's generally mp3 or wav.
