I can't believe that you can't do this, but I can't work out how.

I have Studio 21. I regularly post on Instagram - stories, reels and IGTV to try and publicise my novels. So the aspect ratio needs to be vertical - (9:16), the ideal size is 1080px by 1920px. I have had to resort to making films with pinnacle, then exporting into an on-line programme, such as Veed, to crop it to the correct ratio (and thereby ending up with their logo slapped across the top.)

 

Surely I should be able to edit in 9:16 within Studio 21?

Surely? Nope. Nor in 22 or 23! But it's finally in 24.

Thanks Andy. I thought I couldn't be the only one who needed this. Didn't want to waste money on an upgrade. So, is the edit window in that aspect ratio, or is it trimmed at export?

 

I just saw a number of posts on it saying it's in Pinnacle 24 and believe it's fully in there including the editor window. But I don't have it to check, perhaps someone else will confirm.

In PS24 the timeline setting can be vertical => nothing is cropped if your footage are 9/16.
