    Welcome to the forum.

A screen shot of what things look like in the Preview area would help a lot.

Here is how to add a SCREENSHOT to your post.

Did you accidentily undock the Timeline preview and dragged it off screen or to another monitor? This is why a screen shot helps.

Thank's for your help Tony P.

The problem was really that the timeline is open in another  monitor and when I pass for just one monitor I can't see it.

     Thank's a lot again.

Embarrassed to say I have lost my Timeline.

Looks like I accidentally undocked it and now can't figure out how to return to the standard view.

In the screenshot the piano player is my Source.

How shall I find and re-dock the Timeline so as to be able to toggle between Source/Timeline again?

    Thanks.

You see my post above with the screenshot? See those little arrows that point "up"?

Click on them and they should "re-dock" in the right place.

    Re: Hidden timeline preview

    Thanks!

My Timeline was lurking --just visible--at the bottom of the screen (although it doesn't show in my screenshot). Redocking worked.

    Much obliged.

No problem and an easy fix!

Looking at your screenshot... wow.... imagine being stuck like that?

There should be a drop down menu selection on the PS toolbar at the top for saving different Window Layouts and one that is for returning to Default if things get a little out of hand.

Maybe something for a feature request, I know i've done it more than once and had to remember which thing to click
