Need help with imort from Video8

    Hi,

I'm using Pinnacle Studio for Dazzle ver 23.2

When importing movies from an old Sony Video8 using a Dazzle Video Capture USB the quality is very bad when burning a DVD.
    What am I doing wrong?

If I connect the video recorder to the TV using an SCART adapter the quality is much better (although quite bad to be honest)

I have tried different settings but no change in picture quality.

The user manual is not much of help...

Hi and welcome to this forum.

How is picture quality in the preview window once your videos placed into the timeline ?

    Hi, thanks for the velcome,

Quite bad there too.. on the top of the picture there is a blue/green field and vertical objects in the picture are jagged (if that's the correct word..). A doorpost for instance that is normally a strait line is definately not strait on the film..

The quality of your source is bad. Studio doesn't really have the tools to improve it.

    I suggest this tool : https://contact41766.wixsite.com/film9/home-1

Thanks! I assume I import via the Dazzle USB adapter first and then use this software to improve the quality?
