I have been a user of pinnacle since it was in single digit versions. I left for a long time because it became unusable without a graduate degree. I am trying one last time.

 I have a section of video where I would like to lower the volume to almost zero. In the past I could just click the audio volume line and it would create a dot. And then create dots where needed and pull the line up or down to increase or decrease volume. I saw a video on how to do that with newer version and it said to select the keyframe icon, then create the dots. Well, on my version, 23, the keyframe icon shown on the video isn't there as shown in the instruction video. See attached photo.   In the instruction video it was right next to the "Magnetic Snaping" icon. 

 Simply put. I just want to lower the volume on specific sections of a clip. How can I do that?

You can even turn on the extended view for more convenient control :

Perhaps I am looking in the wrong place, or the operation has changed since Pinnacle 21. That was the method described in the video. Thx.

If you check  the first picture that Yann posted of the mixer, on the right hand side of the mixer you'll see a white square, that urns keyframes on
