    DC10+

Has anyone managed to get the Dc10+ PCI card working with windows 7?

If anyone can give advice I would appreciate it. If it does not work I have some spare room on the hard drive if I wipe W7!

    Re: DC10+

I was never able to get it or the DC20(I think +) working.  Ended up buying a Dazzle USB capture.  Much better quality and much better compression.

    Re: DC10+

AFAIK, the last driver available was for Windows XP.

The Dazzle works so much better.  No interlacing issues like the DC series cards.

    Re: DC10+

The Dazzle is a "simple" A/D converter, while the DC10+ was encoding in Mpjeg thanks to a dedicated chip. In these old times, it was good to let the encoding job be done by the capture card.

    Re: DC10+

Those were the days.  Remember the dropped frame counter?

The DC10 was just video in and out.  I think it was the DC20 that added audio capture so the audio would be in sync with the video.

When you no longer had the card in your pc, you had to run the morgan codec emulator to be able to play/use the videos.

There's a DC20 for sale right now for $14.95 https://columbia-esales.ecrater.com/p/24091590/pinnacle-miro-dc20-capture-card  and I threw mine out.  Dang.....

DC10 on ebay for $14.  https://www.ebay.com/itm/PINNACLE-MIRO-MEDIA-DRX-DC10-/402001885964  Still popular in portugal......  Seller says it still works?  I wonder what version of Windows they are running?

There might be $14 out there for you https://www.ebay.com/itm/PINNACLE-MIRO-MEDIA-DRX-DC10-/402001885964

Maybe a couple pennies more, since you have the + version.  The sky is the limit.  Just like the sample video project.

Oh those were fun days, capturing from 8mm tape using that & hoping you didn't drop too many frames along the way, as you were capturing in real time

    Re: DC10+

    Hi,

Last year I set up an XP machine with the DC10+ and a nice sound card for people who wanted analogue transfers. I also added a USB3 card and can capture very long lengths without dropping frames which was always a problem. The DC10+ was my first introduction to non-linear editing and quite the revelation. I still miss usingTitle Deko!
