    Chapter Thumbnail Frames

Is it possible to change the thumbnail frame and or add more thumbnail frames on Studio 19 ?

I know that there are several in the menu editor but so far I have never figured out how to apply them. It is relatively easy in Studio 12, 14 and 15. In fact it is possible to create user defined menu templates.

Any frame with an alpha channel in .tga can be used.

    Thank you for your reply.

Perhaps I haven't been clear enough. I would like to remove the thumbnail frames and replace them by those in the thumbnail frames Studio library.

Studio allows you to change the frame but it is not possible to enter text "Chapter #" to be linked with each of thumbnail frames.

This has been possible in previous Studio versions untill Studio 15.

    Re: Re:Chapter Thumbnail Frames

    Yes, it's still possible.

Let say that you want to add a text box underneath this thumbnail button :

    Re: Re:Chapter Thumbnail Frames

No need modify the text but you can resize it and customize it with the Text settings and Look seetings panel.

Resize the box of the text and place it underneath the thumbnail with your mouse :

    Re: Re:Chapter Thumbnail Frames

It is now a sub-layer of the button layer and it has been renamed "Button" instead of "Your Text Here", because the button layer is named Button. But it doesn't matter :

If you select the button you see that the thumbnail and the text are now grouped together :

    Re: Re:Chapter Thumbnail Frames

Thank you for your detailed explanation. It is not even mentioned in the user manual.

I shall be following you detailed procedure and will let you have my feedback soon 😊

Perhaps it would be worth including your reply as a sticky. I'm sure it will be of interest to others.

Less and less people are exporting physical disks => less and less people are doing authoring. Among them, I doubt a lot of them are doing home made menus.

    You are absolutely correct.

I am a moderator on the VSO forum and I helped to design the menu template editor of one of the applications. I will  not mention which application not to do publicity.

From what I can understand the sales have dropped drastically. Today it is easy to watch movies directly on TV without the need to author them on optical media. It will be enough to just edit for the fun of it.
