    Pinnacle Studio Patch 23.2.1.297

Installed the new patch today, with everything crossed given my last patch experience, all went smoothly. Anyone know what is in this patch or what it addresses?

It does everything that 290 did, plus address two issues - a failure of the program to start if you have multiple monitors and use undocked windows, and a crash that can happen if you cancel export during certain conditions.

This new patch improved my problem with the slow startup of pinnacle 23, but the program is a little slow in general, but it works without any cracks.

You still have yet to say what Optimization, Quality, Hardware Acceleration and Render While Play, are set to.

The program is not "slow" in general. It might be your settings.

    Re: Pinnacle Studio Patch 23.2.1.297

You settings are almost the same as mine.

When loading the software, it loads up just about everything, the reason for a "slow" startup. I have another pro editor that does load faster, but it loads "modules" as you click on them, causing a delay.

Add all the up, and the total startup is about the same.

Curious as to what you are comparing "speed" to. It's all dependent on what you are doing on the timeline. What effects used, multi track, text, corrections and things like that.

They all take time to be processed by the computer. The more things you use, the more time it takes. It will not be "instant" because I have a fast computer.

If you are using older file formats (DV) that are lower resolution, you will see an increase in speed in editing and exporting.

I monitor my computer hardware while editing. Seeing how the CPU, RAM and GPU are being used. With my AMD graphics card, depending on what I've done to the video on the timeline, it will be used at 100% during Export. I can't ask for anything more than that. It is much faster than using just the CPU, like I had to before PS supported AMD graphics.

Tony P  Thanks here besides the pinnacle I have after effects adobe, generally my longest edited videos do not exceed 90 minutes so when I record congresses more generally I edit more short videos at most up to 15 minutes more the majority is 5 minutes the program is improving performance also I think due new installation until you fix everything the program takes a while.

    Re: Pinnacle Studio Patch 23.2.1.297

Most of my videos are between 5 and 10 minutes. Maybe a couple a little longer. Pinnacle seems to work ok with that. I don't do long videos any more, so can't comment on how well Pinnacle holds up.

For what I usually do, Pinnacle works for the most part. Yes, there are those "glitches" that happen randomly, but I've learned when I work, when I take a break, I shut down the computer too. Then restart and continue to the next break, which is usually in 3 hours.
