More Angle Change choices for 360 video Equirectangular to standard

It would be nice if there where more "angle change" choices when changing a 360 video using Equirectangular to standard.  Insta360Studio Software works the best for "Free Capturing" a 360 video to 16:9.  The angle change and pan are studio quality.

Rather than just PS23's Angle Change "Duration or Linear", Insta360Studio has "Smooth Dissolve". "Slip-In Slip-Out", "Fade-In Fade-Out", "Slip-In Fade-Out", "Fade-In Slip-Out", and "None".  These are great.  You can use a different change angle between each keyframe to make a beautiful smooth motion pan, zoom in, or like a camera change.  It is stunning.

Right now I have to free capture my 360 videos in Insta360Studio, export them and use them in PS23.  This is a pain because I have to constantly go back and forth to make subtle changes for my 360 free capture, then reload that clip into the library of PS23, then place back on the timeline.  It would be nice if I could do this all in PS23.

Example of what I am saying: http://www.howtoalmanac.com/Scott/Videos/2020-03_360_On_Timeline_Example.mp4 The resolution is low and compression is high to reduce the file size, but you get what I am saying.

I can't get the black lines at the top and bottom of the 360 video to go away when I use "Equirectangular to Standard".  In this mode, the preview works.

Looks like Insta360 uses more of a "Equirectangular to spherical panorama" type conversion, but this mode only supports 4:3 in PS23 and doesn't enable the 360 preview.  You have to just move the scrubber set key frames and hope you get what you want.

I also use Insta360 Studio for the re-framing feature. It is hands down the easiest to work with and I use a non Insta360 camera (MADV 360). I need to stitch into equirectangular first using its software. The only big issue I have with Insta360 is that I cant use that re-framing feature in equirectangular images. i have to take the image and convert into a video so i can pan and zoom / re-frame.

I do agree that PS 23 needs to up its game in the 360 work flow. Try to drop equirectangular 360 images on the time line in HD or 360 project settings and convert to standard with nice pan and zooming. I believe most of the 360 options are not working if it is an image vs video on the timeline. Also Insta360 Studio is real time using GPU. PS 23 is not and very slow and clunky to work with even using a NVIDIA GTX 1660 Ti and 8 core CPU.

    Ex.

I have taken several very nice 360 images at Disney. I would want to import the stitched images in PS 23 and create a nice 15sec pan and zoom starting with the little planet, move to mid zoom spherical, then look right, left, and zoom in on the family faces. Very nice moment and why 360 is a great format. I have tried and I can't get this to look good either. So I convert the images to mp4 and use Insta360 Studio to make this in about 45 seconds in real time.

    Cheers

Well, you're that first to chime in.  Maybe 360 editing isn't popular.  Thank goodness for Insta360 for now, just adds another step, and is a pain for multicam shots.
